Warranty and care instructions at KidsDrive.net

Welcome to KidsDrive.net! We want to give you transparent and comprehensive information about our warranty for children's vehicles and electric cars. Our guidelines are based on the legal regulations in Germany to ensure that you as a customer are always well informed.

1. Warranty for batteries

Our batteries are known for their quality and reliability. However, it can happen that a battery becomes defective within the first few months after purchase. Therefore, we offer a 6-month warranty on batteries. Within this period, we will replace the defective battery free of charge if the defect is due to material or manufacturing defects.

Important information on battery care:

  • Regular charging: Charge the battery regularly to avoid complete discharge. This will extend the life of the battery.
  • Store in a cool place: Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Do not overcharge: Only use the charger provided and be careful not to leave the battery on the charger longer than necessary.

2. Warranty for vehicles

We provide the legally required 2-year warranty on our children's vehicles. This warranty covers all technical components that are not considered wear parts. Wear parts are excluded from the warranty as they are subject to natural wear during normal use.

Examples of wearing parts:

  • Tires
  • Brake pads
  • Batteries (after the warranty period)

Exceptions and special conditions:

  • Chassis damage: Chassis damage is only covered by the warranty if it was already present upon delivery and was reported immediately. Make sure you thoroughly inspect the vehicle for damage upon receipt and report any damage to us immediately.
  • Transport damage: Document transport damage immediately after receiving the goods with photos and send them to our customer service together with pictures of the packaging.

3. Dealing with transport damage

If any damage occurs during transport, it is important to document and report it immediately. You should follow these steps:

  1. Photograph damage: Take photos of the damage and the packaging immediately upon receipt.
  2. Contact customer service: Report the damage to our customer service within 48 hours of receiving the goods.
  3. Keep packaging: Keep the damaged goods and packaging until the damage has been resolved.

4. Legal framework and information

Our warranty conditions are based on the statutory provisions of German consumer law. The statutory warranty period is 2 years from the date of purchase. Within this period, we are obliged to accept liability for defects in the product that already existed at the time of sale.

Legal basis:

  • § 437 BGB: Buyer’s rights in case of defects
  • § 438 BGB: Limitation period for claims for defects
  • § 439 BGB: Subsequent performance (repair or replacement)
  • § 476 BGB: Reversal of the burden of proof in favour of the consumer within the first six months

Details:

  • Liability for defects: We are liable for material defects that exist at the time of sale and that significantly impair the function or value of the vehicle.
  • Rectification: In the case of justified defects, you have the right to rectification, i.e. repair or replacement of the defective part.
  • Withdrawal or reduction: If repair is not possible or unreasonable, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract or to reduce the purchase price.
